Survival International

Survival International helps tribal peoples around the world "defend their lives, protect their lands, and determine their own futures."  Its holiday cards include wonderful images of Siberia and Canada by veteran Arctic photographers Bryan and Cherry Alexander.

Since its founding in 1969 in response to violence against tribes in the Brazilian Amazon, Survival has "persuaded governments to recognize tribal land ownership, forced companies to abandon harmful projects on tribal land, and helped draw the eyes of the world to the issues tribal people face."
